The funds will be partially financed by cutting funding for local agencies. The strategy, which involves diverting tax revenue to the Pentagon amid an unpopular war with Iran, poses political risks, the publication notes.
“Trump may also face resistance within his own party over planned cuts to health care and science funding that Congress rejected last year on a bipartisan basis“, Bloomberg warns.
