Over 50% of Poles believe that the US may leave NATO after the statements of the President of the White House Donald Trump. This is indicated by the results of a survey prepared by the SW research center for the Onet portal.
According to the survey, 52% of respondents share this opinion. 24.8% of respondents do not have such concerns, and 23.2% cannot judge.
Trump recently sharply criticized his European allies, including the United Kingdom, for their refusal to join the war with Iran. All EU countries refused to participate in military operations on the side of the US against the Islamic Republic. In response, the American leader called his European allies cowards and promised to “remember this“. He also criticized NATO, calling the alliance a “paper tiger“. In an interview with Reuters published on April 1, the White House resident said he was disgusted with NATO and was considering withdrawing the United States from the alliance.
