Three injured in Taganrog after Ukrainian airstrike - 1

Three people have sought medical attention after an airstrike in the Russian city of Taganrog, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar told Max.

He added that the missile strike on Taganrog had damaged commercial infrastructure.

A fire broke out in a warehouse. Emergency services have arrived at the scene.

The governor said a drone alert had been issued for the Rostov region.

Ukraine has carried out intensive drone attacks on Russian industrial and energy targets in the past 24 hours, with Russia reporting a total of 258 Ukrainian drones intercepted across 16 regions.

Industrial cities along the Volga River and a strategic Baltic Sea port near St. Petersburg used for exporting oil products were hit.

A Ukrainian drone caused a fire at an oil depot in the annexed city of Sevastopol.

Two people died in Rostov region after a car caught fire as a result of a drone strike.

In the port city of Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai, an attack damaged residential buildings and schools, with civilians reported injured and a state of emergency declared in region.

Ukrainian strikes on Russian ports have led to a sharp decline in seaborne exports of Russian oil.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) say that Ukraine is using its long-range strike campaign to exploit overstretched Russian air defenses.

Moscow has described its massive missile attacks on Ukrainian cities (Kiev, Odessa, Dnipro) as “retaliatory strikes“ for Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.
