The management of the Strait of Hormuz will be decided by regional countries and is not being discussed in the context of a possible agreement with the US. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei.
“We are not discussing the details of the Strait of Hormuz within the framework of the agreement. Managing the strait is the responsibility of the coastal countries“, he was quoted as saying by Iranian state television.
