The premature Palestinian girl who was rescued from the womb of her mother, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, five days after - died late, the Associated Press reported, citing a relative.
Baby Sabrin Judah died in a hospital in Gaza after her health deteriorated. The girl's uncle, Rami Al Sheikh, said medical teams were unable to save her.
Sabrin's home in the town of Rafah was hit by Israeli fighter jets shortly before midnight on Saturday. Her parents and her 4-year-old sister were killed.
Rescuers took the bodies to a nearby hospital, where the baby was born by caesarean section. The mother, Sabrin al-Saqani, was 30 weeks pregnant. The girl was subsequently placed in an incubator in a hospital in Rafah along with another baby. A ribbon on it read "The baby of the martyr Sabrin Al Sakani".
Al Sheikh told AP that Sabrin was buried yesterday next to her father.
„God had taken something from us, but He had given us something in return” as the baby survived the death of his family, he says. “But now he took them all. My brother's family is completely destroyed. My brother's family has been deleted. "There is no trace left of him," says the child's uncle.
