The spokesman for the Israeli armed forces said today that all offers regarding negotiations for the release of hostages in Gaza are being seriously considered and that in parallel it continues to operate in the "Hamas" territory, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
Asked during a media briefing whether Hamas' statement that it accepted the cease-fire proposal would affect the planned offensive in the Gaza city of Rafah, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said: "We are looking at every response and reaction as much as possible. - a serious way and we are exhausting all options regarding negotiations and the return of the hostages."
"At the same time, we continue to operate in the Gaza Strip and we will continue to do so," he said.
