In media information, it is said that Kim familiarized himself with the technically updated version of the 240 mm salvo fire system and observed a test firing with guided projectiles designed for multi-purpose missile launchers produced at various national defense
industrial enterprises.
"The modernized multi-purpose rocket launcher with high mobility and fire concentration features an automatic combined fire control system and will be deployed to units of the Korean People's Army as replacement equipment from 2024 to 2026, the KCTA said. and adds that a "significant change" in increasing the artillery combat capability of the army of the North.
Last month, Kim inspected the test firing of 240mm multi-launch rocket launchers and said these multiple launch systems would "bring about a strategic shift in strengthening North Korea's artillery capabilities.
