Ukrainian partisans “thanked“ of the Russian occupiers in Mariupol with poisonous watermelons injected with deadly arsenic, Ukrainian media reported.
At least 12 Russian soldiers have died and another 30 have been poisoned after eating the poisonous fruit in the southern Ukrainian city. It is believed that the watermelons were delivered to the army by Russian citizens, who in turn bought them from representatives of the Ukrainian resistance.
The guerrillas knew the supply network very well and knew to whom the fruit would be delivered. “This is for you guys! Thank you for protecting us”, wrote a Ukrainian guerrilla group after its successful strike.
The city of Mariupol was captured by the Russian army after fierce fighting at the start of the full-scale invasion. Last year, more than 20 Russian soldiers were reported to have died after drinking poisoned vodka supplied by another guerrilla group in occupied Crimea.
