The Lebanese military group "Hezbollah" accused Israel of "lies and deception" after the attack on a school in the city of Gaza, in which, according to the local authorities, controlled by the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas", around 100 people were killed, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
"Talks about a ceasefire and new dates for negotiations are nothing but lies and deceit,", "Hezbollah" said. The group added that the "real choice" of Israel "is to kill and carry out massacres".
According to "Hezbollah" Palestinians have been subjected to the "heaviest massacre in more than 10 months" since the current conflict in Gaza began.
Israel said the building it struck in Gaza City today "served as a hideout for terrorists and commanders of "Hamas".
"Hezbollah" and Israel have been exchanging fire across the border for months, DPA notes.
Fears of a major escalation grew after Israel killed a senior "Hezbollah" in Beirut after a strike on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that killed 12 children.
Meanwhile, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi said that the kingdom will not be a battlefield for any country, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The current conflict in the region practically represents an exchange of retaliatory strikes between Israel and Iran, Safadi noted yesterday in an interview with "Al Arabiya" television. He once again made it clear that Jordan will not allow its airspace to be violated.
