More than 80 teenagers arrested in post-election protests elections this year, were set free in Venezuela over the weekend, a rights group said, cited by Reuters and BTA.

Venezuela's Electoral Council and the Venezuelan Supreme Court declared President Nicolás Maduro, who has been in power since 2013, the winner of the election. However, the full electoral records have not yet been published.

Venezuelan's opposition has published its minutes showing that its candidate Edmundo González won a landslide victory.

In the post-election street protests, 27 people died and 2,400 were arrested. The Venezuelan government blamed the deaths on the opposition, and the opposition said the government resorted to repression.

Afredo Romero, president of the human rights organization "Penal Forum", wrote on Sunday on the social network "X" that 86 teenagers arrested during the protests have been released in recent days.
