Construction of the new mosque began in 2015 with about 30 million euros ($34 million) from the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
In addition to the four minarets, the mosque “Namazga“ it has a central dome with a height of 30 meters and a capacity for 8000 people. It is located on a plot of land with an area of 10,000 square meters near the Albanian Parliament, and a cultural center is located on the first floor. Its capacity allows 10,000 people to pray.
