The role of Europe is " not to comment" Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a speech at the summit of the European Political Community, writes The Times, quoted by Focus.
Macron also warned that if Russia defeats Ukraine, Europe will face an expansionist "imperial power" at their own doors.
According to Macron, Europe is facing a "decisive moment" and must determine her own destiny. "We have two blocs: the United States on one side and China on the other. First of all, they will protect their current interests. Do we want to read history written by others: wars unleashed by Vladimir Putin, US elections, China's technology or trade choices? Or do we want to write our own story? I think we have the power to write it. We cannot afford to disappear geopolitically," Macron stressed.
