The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky clarified, that a bilateral agreement with Hungary will be concluded when Budapest supports the country's inclusion in NATO, reports RBC-Ukraine, quoted by Focus.
In his words, the bilateral document will contain not only what one side wants, but also what is important for the security of the present and the future.
"For both sides. Support for Ukraine in the European Union and Hungary's support for Ukraine in NATO are important to us. Currently, the document does not contain Hungarian support for Ukraine in NATO. Since this is not the case, this document is not signed. This is the meaning”, he stressed.
In his words, if Ukraine and Hungary respect each other, then there should be no questions.
„Ukraine supports the fact that Hungary is part of the EU and NATO. This is my attitude towards you. If you ask me any question about the Ukrainian attitude towards Hungary, you will get a quick answer. We are ready to do everything so that there are no questions between us. But if there are questions about some Ukrainian issue from the Hungarian side, then I think this is not right. The bilateral agreement is to be respected. And for that, you understand, let's be on an even footing”, concluded Zelensky.
