The President of the United States Joe Biden considers it outrageous the issuance of arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the former Minister of Defense of the Jewish State Yoav Gallant.
„Issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders by the ICC is outrageous. Let me be clear once again: no matter what the ICC may mean, there is no equality between Israel and Hamas,” he said in a statement released by the White House press office.
Biden stressed that the United States “will always support Israel in the face of threats to its security”.
Yesterday, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant, and also demanded the arrest of the commander of the military wing of the Palestinian movement Hamas, Mohammed al-Deif, whom the Israeli army announced had been killed in August.
