Russian forces hit military targets in Ukraine with long-range, high-precision weapons on Monday in response to an attack on Russia's Rostov region this week in which Ukraine used missiles supplied by the United States and Britain, the Russian Defense Ministry said, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
Russia said yesterday that Ukraine had fired six US-made ATAKMS missiles and four British-made "Storm Shadow" missiles against Rostov region on Wednesday.
"In response (...) a massive strike was carried out this morning with long-range and high-precision weapons on a control point of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Kiev-based Luch design bureau, which designs and manufactures the Neptune missile systems," the Russian military ministry said in a statement.
