It is not clear whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will congratulate Donald Trump on his inauguration as US president in January.
„But the United States is an enemy country for us. And everything will depend on the further attitude of the new administration towards our country and the plans of the new government there.
This was stated in an interview with TASS by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Currently, American specialists are directing missiles with which they will strike Russian territory. The "Oreshnik" missile system is a generation ahead of all existing weapons, without being nuclear, Peskov said
This is how he commented on Putin's proposal to Western experts who doubt the "Oreshnik" to hold a so-called duel by choosing a target for destruction in Kiev, where air defense forces would be concentrated to try to intercept the attack.
"This is truly an absolute revolution in weapons technology. That's exactly what the president was talking about," he said.
Putin will traditionally congratulate foreign leaders on New Year and Christmas, but not the leaders of enemy countries, Peskov said, adding that the Russian president will congratulate the nations of some "unfriendly" countries.
