The leader of “Reform UK” Nigel Farage has distanced himself from Elon Musk's support for jailed far-right activist Steven Yaxley-Lennon, better known as Tommy Robinson, the BBC reported, quoted by BNR.
The American multi-billionaire has added his voice to calls for the release of Tommy Robinson, who was jailed in October for contempt of court for repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee.
Nigel Farage proudly demonstrated his support for Musk by flying to Florida to meet the owner of the social media "X", which helped President-elect Donald Trump win the US election.
But Musk's support for Tommy Robinson is uncomfortable for Farage, who has made it clear for several years that he does not want him in his political party, the BBC commented Si.
Speaking to a Reform UK conference in Leicester, Farage said Musk had “a whole range of views, some of which he agreed with very much and others he was more reserved about”.
However, Farage described Musk as a “remarkable new entrant” to American politics. Musk is said to be planning a significant donation to the “reformers” and Farage believes he remains “very useful” to the party's cause.
