Nikol Pashinyan in the US: Support for democracy and sustainable peace in Armenia - 1

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia is at a crucial stage in its development and stressed that peace and stable democracy are key priorities for the country's future, BTA reports.

He made these remarks during his visit to the United States, where he attended a reception organized by the international organization “Save Armenia“.

The opportunity to strengthen democracy and protect human rights was the main theme of his participation.

Strategic support for Armenia

The Co-Chair of the International Religious Freedom Summit, Sam Brownback, welcomed Prime Minister Pashinyan and expressed the organization's commitment to supporting Armenia in its progress on these important issues.

Pashinyan, for his part, emphasized the fact that his country is at a crossroads and faces serious challenges in the context of regional disputes and conflicts. He stressed the importance of finding sustainable solutions that would ensure peace and stability in the region.

The need for sustainable peace for democracy and human rights

Pashinyan expressed confidence that the inclusion of the peace process in the US political agenda would be key to Armenia's future. He stated that peace is not only necessary to achieve democratic goals, but also to protect human rights and religious freedom.

According to him, conflicts and escalations only undermine the country's efforts for progress and development, while creating favorable conditions for the violation of citizens' rights. In this regard, he emphasized the need for stable peace as a basis for democracy and development in Armenia.

The path to institutional stability

The Prime Minister noted that Armenia is on the path to deepening its democratic process and placing it on a stable institutional basis, so that it does not depend on political changes and external influences. According to Pashinyan, the only way to ensure the country's sustainable development is through peaceful and diplomatic efforts to support and strengthen democracy.

He expressed confidence that democracy in Armenia is irreversible, despite the attempts of external forces to thwart the country's path to peace and development.
