A mother from Kansk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of Russia killed three of her children with an axe, but couldn't cut down the fourth. The woman has pleaded guilty to the charges, said Nadezhda Bobrineva, judge of the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
On the afternoon of April 14, the woman hacked her three children to death with an axe.
The fourth child was at school at the time of the tragedy.
After returning home and witnessing the aftermath of the massacre, his mother took him to her parents and told them what had happened.
During the preliminary interrogation, she explained that she did not kill the fourth child because she did not have the strength. The family has many children and lives in a private house - the four children are seven months, four, seven and eight years old.
The suspect is 29 years old. She is a housewife and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in September, shortly before the birth of her youngest child, when her "unhealthy behavior" was noticed.
The children's father works as a driver. He was brought to administrative responsibility for beating his son.
The parents did not communicate with anyone, but attended a Baptist church. During the interrogation, the father of the victims stated that his wife had recently complained of fatigue and on the eve of the tragedy asked him for forgiveness.
The surviving child is with his grandmother and is receiving help from psychologists.
Criminal cases have been opened for the murder of minors and juveniles with particular cruelty and negligence of employees of the prevention system. The district prosecutor's office noted that the mother's mental illness was not taken into account in preventive work with the family. The woman will undergo a psychological and psychiatric examination.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on the criminal case against the woman.
