A Swedish diplomat suspected of espionage has died, the SVT television channel reported on Friday, citing the kingdom's foreign ministry, without providing details of the incident.
SVT reported on Tuesday, citing its own sources, that a Swedish diplomat had been detained in Stockholm on suspicion of espionage. On Wednesday, prosecutors released the detainee from custody, but the suspicions against him were not dropped.
