American President Donald Trump warned circles in the United States who call for Kiev to continue military action, rather than peace talks with Moscow, that they should be more careful in their statements.
"People need to be very careful with what they say. They need to watch their language carefully, because their language can get them into big trouble," the US president stressed.
He was commenting on statements by US Senator Lindsey Graham and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who in Kiev effectively urged Ukraine to prepare for further military action.
Trump believes some progress has been made in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
“There has been little progress with regard to Russia and Ukraine“, the US leader said, answering questions from journalists in New Jersey. Trump did not give any details.
