President Donald Trump urged American citizens living in Hawaii, Alaska and the West Coast of the United States to “stay strong and safe“ in anticipation of a possible tsunami triggered by a powerful earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, reports Focus.
Trump posted his message on the Truth Social platform as tsunami sirens warned residents of Hawaii of the impending danger.
“Due to a powerful earthquake that occurred in the Pacific Ocean, a tsunami warning is in effect for residents of Hawaii“, he wrote.
“Tsunami warnings have also been issued for Alaska and the Pacific coast of the United States. Japan is also in the path of the wave. Please visit tsunami.gov for the latest information. BE STRONG AND BE SAFE!, Trump added.
