Rescuers are searching for a group of ten tourists on the Kuril island of Iturup in the area of the Baransky volcano, Konstantin Istomin, head of the Kuril region, reported.
“A tourist group of 10 people has not called from the area of the Baransky volcano. This has been reported to the emergency dispatch service. Rescuers and a representative of the regional administration have been involved in the search. The situation is under my personal control“, the head of the regional administration wrote in the Telegram channel.
According to Istomin, six people are involved in the search for the group.
