A day after drones violated Polish airspace, Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned Poles not to succumb to disinformation campaigns coming from Moscow and also urged them not to spread them, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
“The spread of Russian propaganda and disinformation in the current situation is an action that harms the Polish state and is directly aimed at the security of the homeland and citizens“, Tusk wrote on the “Ex“ platform. He added that stupidity and certain political views should not be considered “extenuating circumstances“ for such actions.
The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs also warned about disinformation on the Internet and published a list of narratives spread by Russian and Belarusian sources. These include the claim that Ukraine is trying to drag Poland into a war with Russia and that it has sent the drones against the neighboring country. The ministry stressed that the claim that Poland is completely helpless against drones is also part of Russian propaganda aimed at causing panic.
According to Tusk, at least 19 drones entered Polish airspace yesterday morning.
