The third class of military doctors will receive their officer epaulets, dariknews.bg reported. The solemn ceremony of conferring the first officer rank to the cadets of the Class-2025 “Slivnish-Dragomansky“ - specialization “Medical Support of the Armed Forces“ of the Higher Naval School “N. Y. Vaptsarov“ will be held at the Military Medical Academy at 10 a.m.

In the rank of “lieutenant“ 18 young men and women will be produced, having completed the full six-year training course under the tripartite program of the Military Medical Academy, the Military Medical Academy "N.Y. Vaptsarov" and the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna.

The Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov and the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov will participate in the solemn act of conferring the first officer rank to the cadets of the Class of 2025, the Ministry of Defense announced. The press secretariat of the head of state announced that President Rumen Radev will present the diploma and epaulettes to the first cadet.

The project "Military Doctor" began in 2017. In the last three years of training, the emphasis has been on military medical training, and the focus is on the organization of medical services, preventive military medicine, military medical supply, military medical management, military medical expertise, military surgery, military toxicology, etc. After completing the training, military doctors have the opportunity to specialize in the Military Medical Academy. In the rank of “lieutenant“ last year in October, 18 young men and women from the second class of military doctors were graduated.

In September, the Military Medical Academy celebrated 147 years since the establishment of the military medical service in Bulgaria.

With a requiem prayer at the military cemeteries in Sofia and a solemn ritual in front of the memorial plaque of the fallen paratroopers, the Special Forces will mark the eighty-first anniversary of their establishment.

In 1944, the Parachute Company of the First Bulgarian Army participated in real combat for the first time. The Joint Special Operations Command, established in 2019, is considered the successor to the Parachute Company.
