Yavor Gechev, advisor to President Rumen Radev, commented that there is exceptional enthusiasm and a desire for unity in society around the figure of the head of state. According to him, many people are calling him with questions and a desire to join a possible future political formation headed by the president.
However, he emphasized that at this stage such intentions are only in the realm of public speculation.
Gechev recalled that the president himself has clearly stated the following: that if and when he decides to create a party, he will personally and officially announce this.
The presidential advisor also specified that “a party is not formed in the presidency”, thus rejecting the idea that such a political project could be organized by the institution of the head of state.
Yavor Gechev also commented on the topic of the state budget and the future adoption of the euro. According to him, the current budget lacks a clear direction or strategic vision, and it cannot be expected to yield real positive results for the economy.
He also expressed the opinion that although there are currently fluctuations and uncertainty, in about six to eight months — that is, by August 2026 at the latest — prices will gradually stabilize and normalize. His comment is in the context of our entry into the Eurozone.
