Borisov: Radev's referendum did not pass thanks to GERB, PP-DB and "New Beginning"

I think that our young people should soon understand how the engagement began, how it came to the wedding and how we made the arrangement. They should know it

"Well, as the people say, all evil for good. Today, Rumen Radev's referendum against the euro, powerfully supported by pro-Russian parties, did not pass. And how did it not pass? Thanks to GERB, PP-DB and "New Beginning", said GERB leader Boyko Borisov in a video shared on the political party's TikTok channel.

"I think that our young people should soon understand how the engagement began, how it came to the wedding and how we made the arrangement. They should know it," Borisov also said.

Earlier today in parliament, MPs rejected President Rumen Radev's request for a referendum on adopting the euro with 81 votes "for", 135 "against" and three abstentions.

The initiative was from "Vazrazhdane", and the item was included in an order that allows parliamentary groups to include items in the program every first Wednesday of the month without being subject to a vote and challenge by MPs.
