The President is not ready to jump immediately onto the muddy political scene. This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by Ruzha Raicheva, a journalist and analyst.
"His situation is very special. He is both obliged to justify certain expectations and to preserve his dignity and the posture that propels him forward - of a statesman, of a general, of a president.
The remaining political players depend on his arrival, she noted in the program "Predi visi".
"If he does not come, everything will most likely remain the same".
The president's political consultations with the parliamentary parties continue.
"During the two (with GERB-SDF and with PP-DB - ed. note) we observed how the political forces asked the president questions about when he would form his own party. And he seems to be giving them as much time as possible to make changes to the Electoral Code and adopt an Extended Budget Law.
This constant overstretching, talking about his project by politicians, the criticism is getting heavier. At some point, those who are expecting it will say "What are we waiting for?!"
All parties have strengthened their positions a lot because of the protest, Raycheva also noted.
"It seemed to them that the public messages from 2020 have not faded.
This also determines the start of this political project to be successful. But what happens when the president steps down? He has to come to terms with these people who collectively went crazy over the last five years. The rhetoric is very distorted. Everyone is at odds with everyone and is in a hurry to quarrel with him too.
I don't think there is a chance that anyone will get 121 votes, including Rumen Radev. But if he participates, he will be the first political force".
She explained what her expectations are from the upcoming consultations with "Vazrazhdane" today and "DPS-New Beginning".
"I don't expect Peevski to go to the president on foot. But someone will pass on biting remarks from him.
Kostadinov has softened the rhetoric and is reaching out to Radev".
All of the opposition, with the exception of PP-DB, are reaching out to the president openly, the journalist commented.
