There is evidence that individuals related to the "Petrohan" case may have cooperated with the security services, but the institutions refuse to provide full information. This was stated by the MP from "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov on bTV.

According to him, the acting chairman of the State Agency "National Security" refused to give a clear answer in an open session of parliament whether there were any collaborators of the agency among the people related to the case, stating that he could not comment on the topic publicly. According to Bozhanov, this means that there is classified information that is not being provided to the deputies and the public.

Bozhanov said that the parliamentary group had officially requested all documents and information from the National Security Agency, the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including data on signals, investigations and possible connections with the services. According to him, the ruling majority had blocked the consideration of this request in parliamentary committees. He indicated that there was unofficial information according to which at least two people were collaborators of the services, but emphasized that the final answer could only be given after access to the operational files.

The deputy did not rule out the possibility that there was an institutional umbrella over the group, emphasizing that this should be clarified through official documents. "The question is whether the institutions knew about the risk and were inactive", said Bojanov, adding that the tragedy, in which six people died, requires full transparency and responsibility.

Regarding the information about possible joint exercises between the organization in question and the Ministry of Interior, Bojanov pointed out that there are contradictions in public data and insisted that all documents be provided in order to establish whether and what kind of contacts existed. According to him, only the full disclosure of the facts can answer the question of whether there was institutional protection.

Bojanov also commented on the political reactions after the case, including demands for the resignation of Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, stating that funding organizations does not automatically mean the presence of information about possible violations. He stressed that it is the institutions that are responsible for monitoring and investigating such cases.

The MP also stated that a priority for the parliament is to ensure that law enforcement agencies and bodies fulfill their duties and protect citizens. "We should not rely on rumors and propaganda, but on documents and facts", Bozanov stressed, adding that full transparency is key to restoring public trust.
