Perhaps this will be the muddiest election campaign. Political scientist Maraya Tsvetkova made such a prediction on the air of the Bulgarian National Radio.
"The topics in it will revolve around justice, services, order. A key situation will be one in which the parties no longer try in any way to approach objectivity, and it is the string that sets the right tone. Piecemeal objectivity is hard to sell and generates additional polarization among society. This leads to long-term erosion of trust in institutions.
Rumen Radev can certainly benefit from this. He remains quite laconic on topical issues. He does not want to get into this very muddy campaign.
Tsvetkova believes that it began with the resignation of the "Zhelyazkov" government.
It is certain that there are people in the BSP who serve the "New Beginning", the political scientist also commented on the "Before All" program, after the deputies from the Centennial did not vote unanimously to reject the president's veto on the changes to the Electoral Code related to sections abroad.
"With the change of chairman, this makes their task more complicated.".
The ITN is simply carrying out the latest orders, Tsvetkova also stated.
"On the one hand, our services are not able to generate sufficient trust in society. They are under strong pressure from certain party formations. And the ITN throws all kinds of theses into the public space. Without the necessary verification, without the need to promote any consistency".
The creation of the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Fair Elections was a PR move, she also believes.
"Mr. Tsitselkov himself should have explained these quarrels with his past to the relevant people who are proposing him for the position.
Gyurov can talk about expertise, but these people are party-colored. I don't see why this should be hidden, since even those who speak against this cabinet voted for the changes to the Constitution".
