Bulgaria is deeply disturbed by the unacceptable Iranian attack on Israel. This is an unprecedented escalation that poses a serious threat to regional security. This is stated in a position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published on the social network "Ex", reported FOCUS.
The Government of Bulgaria is carefully monitoring the development of the situation and is ready to take the necessary actions to protect and guarantee the security of Bulgarian citizens in the region. Lasting and sustainable peace in the Middle East can only be achieved with full respect for the founding principles of the UN Charter and all relevant international treaties and conventions, the position reads.
Bulgaria calls for maximum restraint and de-escalation, added the position of the MFA.
