Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (Bulgarian Food Safety Agency) has closed 7 commercial establishments and banned the sale of nearly 200,000 eggs during the extraordinary checks made around Easter and St. George's Day.

Nearly a ton and a half of meat and 60 kg of food of non-animal origin are also prohibited, the inspectors summarize.

The most common violations for which acts of traders are drawn up are poor hygiene, expired food and undeclared country of origin of lamb meat.
