Specialists insist on changes in driving courses

This is happening against the background of frequent accidents involving young drivers

In the past year alone, nearly 1,000 serious accidents occurred caused by drivers with less than two years of experience. 25% of young drivers are involved in traffic accidents, and dozens die behind the wheel, writes FOCUS.

Recklessness and high self-esteem are the qualities that "press" the gas pedal of powerful cars that are driven by child drivers. Often they are provoked by the use of drugs and alcohol. But no one is ready for the consequences.

"It is not normal for a high school graduate, for a young person who has just obtained a license to give him the opportunity to drive a powerful car. This is like loading a gun and putting it in the hands of a small child," commented Valentin Todorov from the Association of Accident Victims.

Legal organizations insist that the learning process be digitized. In this way, it will be monitored what routes the student drove, what dangers he encountered on the way and whether he acquired the necessary skills.

"There is a serious gray sector in this industry. The 31 hours that should be given for driving are not given. "You don't go out on the highway, you don't drive in the dark," Valentin Todorov pointed out to public television.

"Masovo is currently not driven on motorways, on expressways. And then, when a student drove with the instructor at only 40 km/h, got his license, and got on the highway, he never drove at such a speed," added Georgi Burzakov – road safety specialist.

The subjective factors that matter on the road: upbringing at home and parental responsibility towards young drivers.

"In my opinion, this should start from the family - be careful how you drive, you are responsible both for others and for yourself," said Anna Rizova – driver.

Dozens of European countries have introduced additional requirements for young drivers. Practices that can also be implemented in our legislation. The drivers, however, still do not have time for this, say road experts. Meanwhile, dozens of young people die on the road.
