A man died after freezing to death in a forest

An elderly man died after freezing to death in a forest in Harmanliysko, the police reported.

On May 17, the wife of the missing person stated that her husband, who has an illness, did not come home.

The law enforcement authorities and residents of the village of Bulgarin have started a search for the 78-year-old man.

On May 18, in a wooded area near his home, uniformed officers found the man frozen but alive.

From the initial inspection, there is no evidence of violence. The man was examined in hospital - with a diagnosis of frostbite.

He was transported to the hospital in Haskovo for observation - his life was in danger and he later died.
