The munitions truck that crashed yesterday on the Struma highway was transiting through Bulgaria. commissioner Lyubomir Nikolov, quoted by BNT.
"At the moment when the truck entered the Bankya roundabout, two of its tires burst. This is probably the reason for his entry into the guardrail. Part of the tank was affected, the tug briefly caught fire.
The fire was quickly brought under control, the route was secured and everything that spilled on the road has already been cleaned, Nikolov explained.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Defense reported to BNT that the truck most likely belongs to a private freight company and they have nothing to do with it.
