The lack of investors and adequate wages for labor in the region are among the main problems of the Blagoevgrad region. The closing of the Cigarette Factory in 2019 marked the beginning of the economic decline of the city and the region, which affected both the overall appearance of the city and the standard of living of the people, and from there all spheres.

The city and the region began to depopulate, entire families migrated to other cities – Sofia, Plovdiv. In practice, the region's economy is mainly based on trade, cafes and small restaurants, which does not provide high added value. Investors are bypassing the city and the region because years of corruption in the local government managed to drive out a number of them.

The lack of skilled labor, especially in the field of crafts, is another reason for the opening of new jobs. The vicious practice of selling municipal properties at greatly reduced prices, far from the market price, just to serve “our“ people.

The state and municipalities can attract investors only when they offer suitable terrains for the realization of the investment and do not create obstacles, but conditions for quick administration of activity permits. Cumbersome procedures for obtaining relevant start-up documents, sometimes lasting years, discourage any investor from pouring in funds. Both the state administration and the local administration do not have working investment programs. The entry of large retail chains and hypermarkets, on the one hand, represents an investment in the city, but in my opinion, a balance must be sought between local small business and the large investor, which in most cases destroys dozens of smaller entrepreneurs, which as a result does not bring high added value for the municipality. Therefore, the administration must know the specifics of the area, know what its needs are and look for new investments in industries that are not occupied by small enterprises, because the opposite leads to the effect of "we open a large factory or hypermarket, but close dozens of workshops and neighborhood shops with the same subject of activity“.

A good politician must first take care of preserving local production and support and provide conditions for the development of local business so that local residents can have jobs and a normal standard of living. That's why we from “Revival” we have a clear strategy on how the field should develop and we will do everything possible to make it happen. It's time to revive Bulgaria!

Revival is number 12 on the ballot!

Buying and selling votes is a crime!
