The Bulgarian Orthodox Church is one of the pillars important for the national security of our country, and it is unacceptable for it to be controlled by foreign agents of influence posing as clergy.
The role in this process of mastering the Bulgarian Orthodox Church by the USA is obvious. It is obvious that it is carried out with the courtesy of the Ecumenical Patriarch and some Bulgarian metropolitans and bishops who violated the canon and served with schismatics in Turkey.
And the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, like the Bulgarian state, is guided by the Ukrainian scenario. Our church is led to schism like the Ukrainian one, and our state to war like the Ukrainian state. If we want to assess what the consequences of this schism would be, each of us can carefully familiarize ourselves with the schism in the Ukrainian church, with the persecutions and physical assaults on the priests there.
A united and independent church is an important component of a united state. It is no accident in historical terms that whenever our state lost its independence, the church lost its independence along with it.
We want President Rumen Radev to immediately convene a National Security Advisory Council on the issue of US interference in the election of the Bulgarian Patriarch, which poses a threat to Bulgaria's national security.
