Prof. Alexander Tomov: Limiting the rights of the president was a mistake

"In 4-5 sectors we are on the edge and this can lead people to very serious problems. Next year will be difficult for people - there will be high electricity prices, there are trials. People are waiting because they don't know where the government will go. Irreparable things can happen if mistakes are made," said the politician

Something terrible is happening in the southeast. Erdogan's statements yesterday were met belligerently by Israel. The attack on "Hezbollah" was met with direct threats from the Iranians. At such a moment, the country needs consolidation. The decay process is very long. In the last 4 years alone, we have registered 15-16 new parties. In general, the country faces the problem of replacing the policy of disintegration with a policy of the outstretched hand. This was stated by Prof. Alexander Tomov from "Bulgarian Social Democracy - Euroleft". in "Day ON AIR".
According to him, the little remaining time should be used for the emergence of new players in power.

"On the left, in the center, and on the right, there is the question of very serious attempts at integration. I expect both alliances and the emergence of new entities, but not on the basis of individual leadership ambitions, but on the basis of coordination. Time is very short, we have only a month to prepare something, but it must be used. I expect such things to start appearing within a week", Prof. Tomov added to Bulgaria ON AIR.

Problems in power
According to him, the problem is that with low legitimacy, power disintegrates.

"Which party is stable right now? DPS is at war, BSP is at war. "We continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" obviously there are serious problems. Where are we going as a country, as a country? The president must also draw very serious conclusions from what is happening. He must find ways through talks and consultations. People who had nothing to do with our political life began to form first one party, then more parties. This cannot continue," commented the guest.
At the moment, we have serious problems in 4-5 sectors, according to Prof. Tomov.

"Limiting the president's rights was a mistake and remains a mistake. The figure of the president is tied to all three powers. More experts are currently needed. In 4-5 sectors we are on the edge and this can lead people to very serious problems. Next year will be difficult for people - there will be high electricity prices, there will be trials. People are waiting because they don't know where the power will go. "Irreparable things can happen if mistakes are made," he pointed out.
