Kolyo Kolev: The mandate will be delayed enough for the elections to be oriented towards October 13 - this is the game

"The principle of "be careful what you wish for" applies to the PP - I do not expect anything good for them, it is quite possible to get there even to a split. Their path continues downward," commented the sociologist

The behavior of all parties in connection with the third mandate will be an attempt to make a good impression – sort of a show with PR elements.
This opinion was expressed to the BNR by the sociologist Kolyo Kolev from the "Mediana" agency.

There are no successful negotiations in front of the cameras, he reminded.

"This will be a demonstration of national responsibility, principles, concern for public interests. But essentially it will be part of the election campaign."

The mandate will be delayed enough to target the October 13 election, he predicted. In his words, "this is the game".

Probably next Monday ITN will return the mandate, he thinks.
Now the PP-DB are pulling their hair out for changes to the Constitution, the sociologist noted.

"They claim that the elections will be held by the largest parliamentary power, with its own government and its own minister of the interior."

We are heading for a total collapse of the political system after the new elections in the fall. The reason is rooted in the geopolitical processes that are shaking the world, commented Kolyo Kolev.

"The world is reorienting itself. New blocks are created. To a large extent, this is also the reason for these cataclysms in the country."

According to him, there is a big contradiction between the politicians and the attitudes of the population in our country, and this contradiction will largely be resolved by the processes around the world.

If the status quo is maintained, there will be even lower voter turnout. There is a huge demand for a political alternative – 17% of the votes cast in the last vote were for parties that did not enter the parliament, Kolev pointed out.

"Everyone is waiting for the big formation to emerge that will turn public negativity and disgust into hope."

The moment is now, he said regarding the president's long-discussed entry into the political arena.

The sociologist outlined scenarios for the performance of individual parties in the next elections. According to Kolev, GERB, like the other parties, is in crisis because it has lost another 140,000 votes.

"The principle of "be careful what you wish for" applies to PP. – I do not expect anything good for them, it is quite possible that even a split will occur. Their path continues downward.

DPS – there the blow has already been struck. It seems impossible for Delyan Peevski to conquer DPS. Delyan Peevski is in a hurry, for him politics is running short distances. We will have a drastic drop in this party.
On the left, things are a little better. Unity creates the feeling of strength. The question is, what are you going to announce that you will use this power for purely content. The idea "we're left-wing, so we're cool, won't work". And there are pitfalls there."
