A serious accident between a car and a van took place on "Trakia" highway, the Burgas exit in the direction of Sofia. A 62-year-old woman traveling in the car, which was driven by the victim's 68-year-old husband, died. He is injured. The incident caused a kilometer-long traffic jam on the highway.
The cause of the accident was the car being overtaken and rammed by the van due to failure to keep a safe distance. The alcohol tests of both drivers were negative.
The highway in the section "Vetren" district - the town of Karnobat is closed, and traffic is diverted along the road Vetren - Aytos - Karnobat - AM "Thrakia".
