Goritza Grancharova-Kozhareva starts talks for a new caretaker cabinet

Members of the current cabinet have already expressed their desire to remain in the next government if they are invited

Goritza, appointed by President Rumen Radev as the new caretaker prime minister Grancharova-Kozhareva starts talks about the composition of the caretaker government as early as today.

If the current structure of the "Glavchev" 19 ministers are wanted, and Kozhareva will decide how many of them will be deputy prime ministers, BNR reported.

There is already an expressed desire by members of the current cabinet to stay in the next government, if they are invited.

In her announcement about how she will organize her office, Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva was succinct: "I am starting conversations with the current ministers, as well as with other experts, so I will manage. I know you have a lot of questions, but please be patient".

Thus, she deflected the question of whether she would talk to the Minister of the Interior, Kalin Stoyanov. However, he himself submitted a request already on Thursday whether he wants to continue to head the Ministry of the Interior.

"I have said it many times that I am ready to finish what I have started and what I know is at stake," said Stoyanov.

A new Minister of Foreign Affairs is certainly being sought.

"The foreign minister will not stay for sure", Dimitar Glavchev commented from Paris.

The Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov also gave an answer before he knew who would be nominated for acting prime minister.

"I am at the disposal of the prime minister, who will be nominated by Mr. President,", he declared.

Nayden Todorov - Acting Minister of Culture, announced on Wednesday: "If they invite me again for an expert government, for an acting government, I would continue.

"If I receive an invitation from the candidate for Prime Minister, I would listen to him, I would listen to the goals and priorities, and then I would think", explained the Minister of Transport Georgi Gvozdeikov.

The new caretaker prime minister will arrange a cabinet of old and new ones. The latter must be experts, and we have yet to find out whether the names of current deputy ministers are behind the wording, but the folder filled with names must be returned to the Presidential Institution by August 19.
