The Executive Board of the Trade Union Federation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - SFSMVR observes with increasing concern the increasing attempts to politically use the institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the professionals working in it.
It is indicated that the suggestions that the elections on June 9 were manipulated, the baseless criticism of the firefighters fighting the fire, as well as the "persistent and baseless demonization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs" from the political representatives are an indirect accusation and insult to all 50,000 people in the department.
SFSMVR states that if there is evidence of election manipulation by officials in the system, this information should be presented not to the media and the general public, but to the prosecutor's office. All actions in a direction other than the legally established mechanisms for investigating crimes are outright manipulation and propaganda, the union emphasizes.
The Executive Board of the SFSMVR draws the attention of politicians that to announce that the Bulgarian firefighters are not coping with the fire crisis is insulting and humiliating to those who work around the clock in difficult material and living conditions.
The trade union appeals to Prime Minister-designate Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva in the hope of an objective and rational approach to the selection and appointment of an acting Minister of Internal Affairs.
For the 15 years of its existence, the SFSMVR has held talks and negotiations with over 20 ministers of the interior. A large part of those who were appointed as such because they are carriers of the civil energy for change in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, not only did not achieve this - they froze, and some even liquidated, the social dialogue in the department", the union points out.
They express hope that Grancharova-Kozharova will become familiar with the processes and dynamics in the relations between the Ministers of Internal Affairs and the SFSMVR and will approach responsibly, ensuring the necessary calmness and stability with her election in order to have working conditions and results .
