"They are obliged to provide free medical assistance in case of water trauma. Of course, they are doctors and first of all they are also people, I have never seen them refuse someone who is in trouble, let alone ask for payment for a tray", said the manager of North Beach - Burgas, Simeon Tsvetkov.
To the south of Burgas there is also medical assistance and equipped medical stations.
"In emergencies, everything is free. We contact 112. When longer treatment is necessary, there are medical offices in Kiten, some private, some working with the Health Fund", said the doctor on the beach in Kiten, Dr. Rumen Tsonkov.
The most frequent complaints of beachgoers are mainly problems with blood pressure.
"Most often they faint! Their blood pressure drops. The exception is heart attacks - and such things happen!", rescuer Veselin Iliev shared an experience from his practice.
Lifeguards appeal to tourists to respect the flag signals and avoid bathing in unguarded beaches.
