On average, six unemployed compete for one vacant job in the whole country, according to the latest data of the Employment Agency, quoted by BNR.
Teachers, workers in mining and processing industries, waste collection, construction and transportation, salespeople and people care staff are the occupations most in demand by businesses.
In one month from July, compared to June, the number of people registered at the labor offices increased by almost 2,000 people and reached nearly 153,000.
The competition for a vacant position is strongest in Gabrovo and Haskovo regions, where 14 unemployed are competing each, and the smallest - in Dobrich - two each, and in Burgas - three each.
The Employment Agency boasted that as a result of the work of the Roma and youth mediators, as well as the labor mediators in the Labor Offices, more than 5,000 inactive people on the labor market were activated in July, which is an increase of 18 percent more compared to the previous month.
Over 14,500 unemployed people started work in July.
The number of vacancies applied to the Labor Office is also increasing, which last month was nearly 9,000.
In the real economy, the most jobs are in the manufacturing industry - one in four, followed by education, trade, administrative and auxiliary activities, hotels and restaurants.
