For attempts to exercise political impact on the Supreme Court of Cassation by the i.f. chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov through various approaches such as a request to redirect the case and a proposal to recuse the court panel, Krum Donchev announced in his position on social networks.
Donchev contested, as a member of the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, the unlawful deletion of Kornelia Ninova as chairman and the entry of Atanas Zafirov as a representative of the BSP.
„No one has the right to violate and trample on the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, even more so when we talk about the principle of separation of powers”, the socialist said and added: “Dear representatives of the Bulgarian institutions, all of us, the citizens of the state, would we wanted to believe in your professionalism, competence and objectivity. Do not give in to any blackmail or repression”.

“Aren't you tired of enduring the insulting attitude of the power-hungry?! I'm bored! All day long, we witness fruitless political disputes, corrupt wars, unacceptable pressure on state institutions and humiliation of their employees.
It is time to show that for every such action there is a counteraction. Let's ignore the manipulations of the political elite, which has not produced any constructive solutions for a long time. To expose the tools, the instigators and the faces of those who dare to involve us in their cheap compromising quarrels.
Resolutely oppose any attempts of external pressure on the personnel in our institutions, aimed at controlled deformation of administrative processes and subsequent political profiteering.
By the latter, I mean the attempts to exercise political influence on the Supreme Court of Cassation by the I.F. to the chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Atanas Zafirov, by means of a request to redirect the case and a motion to dismiss the court panel, regarding my appeal to the court.
This whole political travesty in Bulgaria must be stopped once and for all. No one has the right to violate and trample on the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, even more so when we talk about the principle of separation of powers.
Dear representatives of the Bulgarian institutions, all of us, the citizens of the country, would like to believe in your professionalism, competence and objectivity. Do not succumb to any blackmail or repression“.
