It is normal for the winning party in the European elections to have an advantage, for the EPP, whose family we are from, to have an advantage in the election of a European Commissioner. I believe that we rightly put forward the strongest candidate (ed. note - for European Commissioner). This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov during a briefing broadcast on his Facebook page, quoted by "Focus".
On Tuesday, the GERB leader announced that Ekaterina Zaharieva will be the GERB-SDS candidate for European Commissioner. He also said that Zaharieva has a lot of experience and is well known in Brussels.
