The fire under Cherni vrah in Rila was brought under control

The rain in the late afternoon and the teams that extinguished the fire on the field all day yesterday - a total of about 80 people, the fire under Cherni vrah in Rila, which occurred last Thursday at 2,300 meters above sea level in the Bayryamitsa area above the village of Bistritsa, BNR reported.

The acting regional governor of Kyustendil and coordinator of actions to stop the fire, Georgi Joglev, spoke to the media.

He said the fire situation is favorable and under control.

The teams that were on the field today are being withdrawn. Tomorrow, a full sweep of the area will be made by mixed teams of firefighters and forest workers to determine if and in which places there are unextinguished fires.

If necessary, all services and units are ready to participate in the shutdown.

The fire cannot yet be declared extinguished, Katia Tabachka, the spokesperson of the Regional Directorate of the Police, told BNR.

The other fire in Rila, in the forest above the village of Pastra – under Mount Kalin, which occurred on August 18, was extinguished, but has resumed, is also under control.
