In Sofia, the preparation of urgent strengthening works on the bridge on "Bulgaria" Blvd. has begun, reported NOVA.
The construction of the strengthening scaffolding will begin on Monday, the Metropolitan Municipality announced. After problems with the structure of the bridge were identified, the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy (UASG) was commissioned to prepare an analysis and assessment of its condition. The "Road Infrastructure" Agency was notified. (API). Meanwhile, the facility was closed to traffic to ensure people's safety.
From the moment the problems were identified, the municipality wasted no time and continues to actively monitor the condition of the bridge, coordinating its actions with other responsible institutions to ensure that the measures taken are effective and timely.
Temporary strengthening through the construction of scaffolding will ensure the stability of the bridge and allow safe passage of vehicles until a decision is made on major repairs.
At the moment, no real measures and actions have been taken to strengthen the bridge on Blvd. "Bulgaria" to the quarter "Boyana" from the API side.
