They killed a brown bear in the Central Balkan National Park

Employees of the "Central Balkan" National Park they found a dead bear, BNT reported. The report was filed by a park employee at the park directorate on August 27. The place is in the "Steneto" security area, the "Troyan" park area, in the "Malak Zhidov dol" area.

An inspection was immediately carried out by employees of the directorate, the Regional Police Department in Troyan and veterinarians from the "Green Balkans" Wild Animal Rescue Center. During the inspection, it was found that there is actually a corpse of a young male individual with a gunshot wound in the indicated place, reported the "Central Balkan" NP.

The bear is a protected species according to the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria and is a priority for conservation within the ecological network NATURA 2000. The species falls under the provisions of the Criminal Code, according to which the case is considered a crime. The case is being investigated by the competent authorities.
