In addition to early parliamentary elections , in Varna today there is a runoff for the election of regional mayors in two of the regions - "Odessos" and "Primorski", reported FOCUS.
The CEC sent instructions for the two votes to have different sectional commissions and to be held in different rooms. However, the Regional and Municipal Election Commission in Varna stated that voters will vote in one section for both types of elections.
In section 148 in the area "Primorski" two corners are organized for the voters.
"Voting will be with two machines and two screens. First there will be a vote for mayoral elections and then for people's representatives", said Zhelyazko Zhelyazkov to BNT, chairman of 184 SIK – Varna.
In this and other similar sections, the vote will be conducted as follows: the voter enters, leaves the ID card and votes in one corner – with a paper ballot behind one screen or by machine. He goes out, signs and hands over his identity card to the neighboring desk, in the same section election commission. Then to the other corner, where he will vote for mayoral elections – on the other machine or with paper behind the other screen. He goes out, signs and takes his identity card.
Yesterday morning, the unloading and distribution of the voting machines by sections began. Their total number is 744, of which 198 are scheduled for the runoff in the partial local elections for mayors of the "Odessos" districts. and "Primorski".
"I especially want to note that voters will vote in one section for both types of elections. They will not have to go to other premises or to other buildings," said Velin Zhekov, chairman of the OIC Varna.
In the event that the two candidates for regional mayor have an equal number of votes, an almost absurd probability, but still possible, new partial local elections are scheduled. Voters for a local vote in "Odessos" and "Primorski" are 150,000, and in the Varna region for the parliamentary vote over 400,000. There are less than 10 sections in the hospitals, and 12 are mobile for Varna and the region.
